Software, film, and a daily drawing practice — built by the same hands. We do not build tools that make art for you; we build the loom, then sit down and weave on it ourselves.
The name
கலை — kalai, Tamil for art.
One of the oldest surviving words for the act of making. Everything the studio makes sits between two things: the craft that art asks for, and the machines that now do the labour. The other names come from the same ground — vettu, the cut; saakshe, the witness.

Machines make it, hands choose it.
AI does the labour. Every frame, line and cut that ships was picked by a person who could have said no.
No ads. No selling what you make or what we learn about you. Prices are small, plain and on the page: free tools, $9 a year, $5.99 once.
